Dual Firing Options for Precise or Continuous Driving
Featuring selective actuation for making tool-less firing transitions, the NT50AE2 Brad Nailer can be used for a variety of different applications. By simply sliding the selection control up or down with your hand, you can choose between intermittent and continuous firing. Intermittent firing is ideal for jobs that require precise driving, while the continuous setting can be used to fire nails at a rapid pace by using a bumping motion along the workpiece.

Adjustable Depth of Drive for Accuracy
The NT50AE2 features a convenient depth-of-drive adjustment knob located near the nose. Simply turn the dial half way to make quick, accurate modifications to the driving depth with no tools required.

    High-Capacity Magazine for Reduced Downtime
For further convenience, the NT50AE2 features a bottom-loading magazine that's designed for quick and easy loading of 5/8-2 inch brad nails with head sizes between 0.075 and 1.9 mm. The magazine has a capacity of approximately 100 brad nails (depending on the size of the nail), so you can go a long time between reloads. A visual nail indicator allows you to keep an eye on the number of nails in the magazine.

    Designed for Comfort and Efficiency
With a lightweight aluminum body, the NT50AE2 weighs just 2.2 pounds and measures 10 x 9-3/16 x 2-3/8 inches (LxHxW)), so it's easy to maneuver. Its soft Elastomer grip provides optimum control and extended comfort for all-day jobs.

For further ease of use, Hitachi equipped the NT50AE2 with an adjustable, 360-degree exhaust vent. Also, an included no-mar nose cap protects the workpiece and the tool.

The NT50AE2 requires 70-120 psi operating pressure to function properly. It takes in air at a rate of 0.025 cubic feet per cycle at 100 psi.

The Hitachi NT50AE2 Brad Nailer is backed by a five-year limited warranty.

4 out of 5 stars Great Finish Nailer   March 9, 2010
    James A. Augeri (Albuquerque, NM)
I borrowed one of these from a friend to do some kitchen cabinetry, and several window valences for our house. It was so handy, and made things so much easier, that I just had to have one of my own. That fact became even more evident when I learned the friend would be moving away in a few months and I wouldn't be able to borrow it again! Bummer; but I got a new tool out of it. This is a great nailer for the range of sizes it supports (3/4 up to 2 inches). Easy to use, care for; everything.

5 out of 5 stars Top nailer!   March 3, 2010
Nathan Boris (Hood River, OR United States)
Have not used the gun long enough to tell you about durability but it rather similar to it's big brother- Hitachi NT65MA2 15 Gauge 1-1/4-Inch to 2 1/2-Inch Angled Finish Nailer(which I have plenty of hours on over the years)but with minor but important upgrade- side loading of nails. This may not seem important to some but on many trim applications you are not always using the same length nail. You can have several guns on your hip or you swap out the nails to fit the application. Side loading offers a couple of advantages - can easily remove and install (compared to rear loading) and it is easy to determine what length nail is in the gun. This will save you big time - in frustration and time!

Other features - good line of sight, jamb release (never jambed yet but it is there), fire modes (really? for trim?) adjustable exhaust, normal stuff any nail gun should have. I now have many of the newer Hitachi stuff to mate with some of the old and cosmetics don't really matter to me - they all work flawlessly. As long as they keep doing that I am happy. At this price it is a no brainer - get it!

3 out of 5 stars Nice all around gun.   February 25, 2010

This is an all around good gun. Not the best of the best but it does a great job. I own a few others of diff brands but this one is the loudest. It does not have a belt hook but easily added on. Nice and light.

    I recommend it to everybody.

5 out of 5 stars no problems with this gun   January 25, 2010
Jeffrey M. Sible (hopwood pa. usa)
used this brad nailer for over a thousands nails sizes from 1/2 inch to 2 inch, not one jam or problems, i oil before each use, 10 drops, had it for three months, and it has worked perfectly so far, love this gun, 70 dollars is a bargain for this item, used different brad nails from lowes and home depot, including ones with a brown colored tip without a jam, don't know how easy it is to clear a jam if i get one, read the instructions and seem easy, hopefully ill never have to find out...
