Great Noise Protection - Radio Stations Drift March 26, 2010 Kustomizer (Texas Panhandle) They are very comfortable to wear and clean very easily after stiring up a lot of dust/dirt. I purchased this for noise protection and music while I worked. The noise protection works well, the radio leaves a lot to be desired. It is hard to tune and it drifts and goes off station very easy.
If I had it to do again, I would have gotten one with iPod or MP3 connections but hind site is 20/20.
perfect for lawn work March 12, 2010 LovinTN (Smokies) I have owned these radio headphones for a year now and love them. They are great for when you are mowing the yard or using the leaf blower. The radio works very well and they really reduce the noise level of loud yard equipment. Highly recommended.
Great product initially, wear out in about 8 to 12 months. January 18, 2010 Michael Brock (Kansas City, MO) I have purchased two of these units for use in my wood shop and they work just fine for the price. The analog tunung knob is easily changed by turning the unit off and on. Reception is good, not great in my area (urban). The only real complaint is the lifespan. In both of my units, the same problem occured, the cable between the battery case and headband failed within months of purchase. I have fixed the cable to prolong the life of both units until it simply got too short to solder. In the case of the last pair that died, a cable became crossed and it nearly melted while I was wearing them. I would advise purchasing a different manufacturer, as I will this time.
Good reception - not perfect September 12, 2009 R. S. McGowan (Virginia) I've tried a few of these radio ear muffs - never had reception that was even close to satisfactory before this. We live about 60 miles from the FM station that I listen to (WAMU). Once I locate the station, the Peltor holds the station pretty well. Ditto for C-Span radio. Cutting grass is no longer quite so boring.
AM reception fades as I move around but might work fine if I lived closer to the station.
Great product! August 4, 2009 K. Wisniewski (New York) These earphones are great. i bought them as a gift for my dad and i was using them the one day using a power sander and they are great. they drowned out all of the noise and the reception was really good. i will definitely buy a pair of these or at least ask my girlfriend to get them for me for my birthday or christmas. Definitely a great buy!!!
