Nice set of cutting bits for the price! September 6, 2010 Allen I've used 6 of the 15 bits in this set and they've worked very well. Not quite as nice as my Bosch bits, but well worth the price. MLCS has been in the business for awhile, so you should expect some nice quality tooling from them. Wood storage case is nice for keeping things organized.
Great Value For Quality Bits August 9, 2010 DJ Swin (Chattanooga, TN) My wife ordered these bits for me from Amazon. Even though I've only had them for a few weeks, they have done exactly what I have needed them to do, and perfectly at that. I use them with my Freud 3 1/4 hp router and Freud Router Table. For the price you can not find better quality or value. There are probably better bits out there such as Whiteside, Freud, or CMT, but why buy those when these will do the job just as good? I highly recommend them and for the money you really can't go wrong.
Great value for a starter kit July 30, 2010 A. Hussain I purchased this bit set as a starter kit before I really even knew which bits I needed. I have found the set to be of sufficient quality and a tremendous value. As I have progressed in my woodworking hobby, I've had the opportunity to use just about all the bits that are included in this set. Over time I figured out which bits I used more heavily, and have since invested in "premium" brands such as Whiteside and Amana for new bits. After using those brands, I'll say that the MLCS bits are by no means top of the line, either in sharpness or durability, but they are still an excellent value for the money and I often buy from MLCS. This particular item is a great set for learning more about different types of bits and how to use them, and also an excellent gift for someone who's just getting started with routing and doesn't have any bits.
Great starter set July 3, 2010 Robert Campbell (Huntington Beach, CA) The bits are sharp and well made. For the price of two bits purchased individually you get 15 good quality bits. The cuts are clean and true. How long will they stay sharp??? Only time will tell. I am very happy with this product.
Great starter set for a new router owner! June 14, 2010 Simon S. Dietsch (Portland, OR) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I needed some straight bits for box joints and dados, so I purchased a kit instead of buying them individually to save money. This left me with several edge cutting bits I never would have bought on my own that now I might try along with a rabbeting bit I'm using quite frequently now. All the kit lacked for me was an 1/8" straight bit which I picked up inexpensively for 1/4 the cost of this 15 piece set.
