Product arrived broken, initial contact made and then it went haywire. The company has a call in line which swears that they are with the company. The return department is somewhere else and the call in line refuses to get you to the person you need to speak with. They say they cannot transfer due to no phone contact
with the return department, yet after fighting hard was able to finally get a supervisor, of course they made me wait for over 8 minutes for it, most likely out
of spite, the supervisor again said no phone transfer to the person we needed to get to. He was able to send an email which took 5 hours to get a call back, all
the while we and UPS were on hold waiting to figure out what to do about the companies inadequacies.
Let me backtrack a bit, On a Tuesday we let them know it was broken, I received a call from a person in the return department and she would process the return. Then a week later I received a call from the person saying that UPS would come out and assess the item and if their damage would take it back. Well, the call was 5 days late, UPS had been out 3 times, we did not know it and therefore did not make arrangements for access to the item. They would not come back with out a new claim filed. Now I understand that UPS did not leave notices that they had been here, but the shop vac company should have let us know the day before UPS started coming out or right after they found out they were coming instead of waiting 5 days.
Problem finally resolved thanks to Amazon, UPS picked up the product and we received a refund. But why should it be so difficult and why in the world would on department in a company supposedly have no access phone to another???.

I have one of these. Know what? I hate ladders.
Buy enough straight extensions to reach your gutters, and get 2 90° PVC elbows that fit the top extension, at the hardware store.
At 6HP, you can now stand comfortably on the ground and safely vaccuum leaves, pine cones and twigs from your gutters, wet or dry.
This works so well, there is a guy on the Web selling the setup now. (Do a search for gutter vaccuum).
I live in the woods, so I do have to empty the vac a few times in the Fall, because I have about 200 feet of gutter to clean.
But you'll never go back to using a ladder again. This does it better and faster than you ever could by hand. For my house, it's a 20 minute job now.

Nothing gets in the way of this vacuum and it's goal - picking up any extraneous junk on your floor. I recently moved into a house that wasn't cared for all that well and this vacuum was one of my first purchases. It sucks the dust away from anything I point it towards, it cleaned up the entire basement - wood chips, bolts, pieces of cinder block, other things I didn't dare try to identify. I also appreciate the nice long cord which lets me use it outside (plugged in inside) as a leaf-blower.
My only gripe is that the extenders are constantly coming apart. Why isn't there any clip or notch or threads on it? I would deduct a half a star if I could, but if I really jam the parts together it doesn't bother me too much.
FYI - It came with all of the accessories pictured on this page.

This is a replacement for an old 16 gallon vac that owned for years. This new model is MUCH quieter, and more powerful. I really like the bag feature also.
