Amazon.com Review
If you're like us, you've crammed more tools into your workshop than can really fit. Luckily, an HTC universal mobile base (or two) can make a world of difference. The base is sturdy and easy to assemble, plus--unlike any other mobile base on the market--it adjusts to fit virtually any large woodworking machine, forming squares from 12 by 12 to 36 by 36 inches and rectangles as big as 20 by 52 inches. Holes at 1-inch increments let you choose any shape in between, and wheels at all four corners make it easy to maneuver. Roll one tool in; roll another tool out. Moving equipment around a crowded shop has never been this easy. --Jon Groebner

1 out of 5 stars junk   August 27, 2010
T. Crump (Texas)
The package arrived without all the parts. I called the company and after several tries, they sent out the missing part. I put it together, placed my table saw on it that doesn't weigh anywhere near the stated 400# capacity, and the plastic levers snapped in two the first time I tried to lift it. Pure junk.

2 out of 5 stars Too flimsy, and difficult to follow assembly instructions   August 22, 2010
Todd W. Arnold (Charlotte, NC USA)
This base is rated for 400 pounds. I bought it for my 285 pound Jet JPS-10TS table saw, and it is not at all solid holding this saw. It "bounces" and flexes - I expect a mobile base, when the wheels are locked, to be as solid as when the tool is sitting directly on the floor. This is not even close.

I also found that the assembly instructions were difficult to figure out. I'm an engineer, so I'm no dummy at putting things together - I feel the instructions could definitely be improved.

Overall, I'm very disappointed.

4 out of 5 stars Works well . . . but . . .   August 14, 2010

Works well - just installed it on my bandsaw . . . Only one complaint . . . The instructions were abysmal . . . But, being the kind of guy I am, [one just like you, Buddy], I rarely look at the directions anyhow . . .

5 out of 5 stars Better than Expected!   August 6, 2010
S. Ogborn (Lake Bluff, IL USA)
When you have a small shop, "stationary" tools can't be stationary. After deploying enough wheels on tools to start a skate park, I am most pleased with the HTC2000 Universal Base. The quality of construction exceeded my expectations and the assembly instructions were fine.

The sides of the mobile base adjust in 1" increments. The instructions direct you to add 1" to the measurements of your tool base to establish the mobile base dimensions. Don't fudge on this requirement or, like I had to, you will get to take things apart again to adjust the fit. After adjusting the mobile base to accept your stationary tool, you can improve "the fit" with blocks of waste lumber or secure the tool to the base with bolts.

I have a couple Rockler mobile bases and I prefer the HTC2000. The Rockler bases are customized with your own lumber, and while that method provides a very precise fit, the lumber sides still provide a little more flex than desired with heavy tools (even using ash and hard maple). The HTC2000 is solid, easy to raise, relocate, and secure in its new location.

Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent customer service   July 7, 2010

I had bought this product about 3 years ago for my table saw and
I had a problem with one of the parts. I emailed the company on
what it would cost to replace the part.
Without a question they sent me the part free of charge.
